Important Reminder: Writing Contest Entries Must Be Submitted Via Official Submission Link!
Write where you are. No, literally. Lean into your weird through writing!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who's taking part in our ongoing writing contests we’re hosting through the podcast.
The energy and creativity have been amazing as you lean into your weird through writing! Angela can't wait to read what you’ve all been working on this week!
For those who haven’t seen or heard the Neurodivergent Narrative series, each week brings a new writing tip, a featured winner, and a new prompt to explore your neurodivergent identity. Whether you're a seasoned writer or just getting started, this is your chance to get published, get heard, and maybe even get paid!
But! We’ve had a bit of a hiccup…
We’ve kept receiving some of your submissions in email inboxes, Spotify comments, and even Substack comment sections. While we love how eager you all are, unfortunately, entries submitted this way aren’t eligible to win.
📌 Here’s the deal:
To keep things fair and organized, the only way to enter the contest is by submitting through the official submission link. That’s it! No exceptions.
This helps us ensure every entry is accounted for, judged fairly, and in the same format!
You can use the button below to submit your entry or keep reading for a reminder of this week’s prompt and contest rules!
Neurodivergent Narratives Presents: The “Local Color (Colour!)” Contest
Inspired by a creative technique known as local color (and by the wise writing of Tim Clare), this week’s prompt brings us back to the ground, literally. You don’t have to travel far to tell a story worth sharing. The details you notice are worth writing about. The way you see the world is worth capturing. So lace up your shoes—or open your window—and take a closer look!
PROMPT: Take a walk within just a few hundred meters of your home. Write about what you observe.
⚠️Your travel writing may not be any longer than 500 words.
