This is the last prompt in the Neurodivergent Narratives 12-week writing contest series. After this prompt, you will need to be a paying supporter to participate and receive our weekly writing prompts.

PROMPT: Write a poem or short personal essay about the aspect or aspects of being Autistic that you love most.
Too often, narratives about autism centre on struggle or pathology. But Autistic culture is rich with joy, passion, and brilliance. This contest invites you to name and celebrate the parts of being Autistic that you love. Maybe it’s the depth of your focus, the way your senses come alive, or the comfort you find in patterns and routines. In 500 words or fewer, share a glimpse of your Autistic joy and help shift the cultural lens from deficit to delight.
