This resonates with me. I work in a 3rd party provider after school program. We have squishies and stuffies for the kids. BUT, most of the workers treat them as rewards for completing the required activities. If a child is getting dysregulated, they are rarely given the thing that would allow them to tolerate the program requirements. They have to earn it. 😡
Have you read the book??!?!? Lack of access to Mr. Potato Head has a horrible consequence. Makes me so sad and mad it's used as a reward and not for regulation.
